Bridge models

Work with a partner using good soft skills to create a bridge model using cardstock.

The bridge will span 2 cups.

POINTS: 12

1) define the problem. How high up will the bridge be? what other criteria/constraints are there? look up bridge styles to get ideas. 2

2) brainstorm: sketch at least 3 different possible designs and turn them in. 3

3) Design: explain in writing why you chose the design that you did. 1

4) Build: use at least 4 separate parts on your bridge. include at least 8 details on your bridge. cut out at least one intricate shape to be part of the bridge. 4

5) communicate: tell me about your bridge. find out some interesting facts about this kinds of bridge or a similar one. Write a reflection on how you could have improved your process. (At least 3 sentences with details.) 2
