Why study computer skills?

Since nearly every aspect of today's society is tied to technology, continued support of today's vital technological infrastructure, as well as tomorrow's technological advances, relies on supporting teachers and engaging students. 1

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects several computer science fields among the fastest growing occupations over the next decade. To prepare students for careers in the 21st Century, U.S. schools must provide students with the opportunity to take computer science courses.

Computer science is at the root of more careers than most people realize. Whether students see themselves entering careers as engineers, doctors, biologists, geneticists, criminologists, and many, many other fields, computer science skills play a big role. 2

General Computer and Technology Course guidelines:
Every student signs an agreement about computer and Internet use. Please remember that use of a computer is a privilege, not a right. If you abuse the privilege, you will lose the right.
